In 2024, Moselle, which has been awarded the "Land of Games" label, is committed to the Olympic and Paralympic adventure throughout its territory! Located on the Franco-German border, the European Archaeological Park of Bliesbruck-Reinheim presents the origins of the ancient Games in its new temporary exhibition.

The tour covers the sporting competitions organized in the various cities and sanctuaries of ancient Greece over a period of more than a thousand years. Visitors can discover the disciplines that were the ancestors of today's events, the organization of these festivities, the preparation of the athletes, the Roman Games and the Olympic revival championed by Pierre de Coubertin. To support this journey, numerous objects and works of art from prestigious establishments in France and abroad take visitors on a journey in the footsteps of ancient sport.

Whether you're a history buff or a lover of physical culture, you're in for a treat! On your marks, get set, go! Or rather, "Poda. Para poda. Apite!" as we used to say long ago...
