ReRenaissance-Basel: Now sing - and be glad!

with sing-along workshop
Well-known Christmas carols from the German-speaking Renaissance: they sound festively accompanied by trombones from the Basel City Trombone Choir and Zinken! The program includes Christmas carols such as "Joseph, lieber Joseph mein", "In Dulci Jubilo" and "Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen" - in the form in which they first appeared in the Renaissance, including in Leonhard Schröter's "Newe Weihnacht Liedlein" from 1587 and the famous arrangements by Michael Praetorius in his Musae Sioniae prints from 1605-1610. ReRenaissance introduces listeners to the Christmas carols in a variety of ways, from playful duo arrangements to double-choir versions with a choir of cornetti and trombones. But above all: the movements printed in the program booklet can be sung along ad hoc!

Catherine Motuz (trombone, conductor)
