The whole world in a news song
In the 16th and 17th centuries, people could already read what was happening in the world around them. But above all, they could also hear it. News was brought to market by specialized printers, such as Johann Schröter from Basel, and performed by street singers on the street or in the pub. Handy brochures were also published for singing along and re-singing. These so-called "Liedflugschriften" are a genre of news from the early modern period that has received little attention to date. An incredibly rich repertoire and musical heritage has been passed down through these writings.

Marc Lewon (conductor, lute, cittern, guitar), Ivo Haun (vocals, lute), Baptiste Romain (lira, fiddle, bagpipes, Renaissance violin), Sabine Lutzenberger (vocals)
