La Nef des Jouets celebrates their anniversary
March 8 - July 31, 2025
Private collections Frédéric ROY and Eddy BARROIS
In 2004 and 2011, the inimitable figurines had already taken over the chapel of La Nef des Jouets for a temporary exhibition. Now they're back, thanks to Frédéric ROY and his long-time accomplice Eddy BARROIS, Alsatian collectors with a passion for the world of Playmobil®.
In addition to collecting the famous little characters since their arrival in France, Frédéric Roy, a model-maker and modeller, has created several dioramas for the occasion, on a variety of themes: space, the Middle Ages, public works, the Far West, Vikings, farms, cities, firemen...
The originality of the retrospective lies in the choice of presenting vintage specimens from 1974 to the late 1980s - over 800 references - in keeping with the anniversary being celebrated this year. The exhibition of some thirty rare prototypes alone is well worth the detour. So, see you at the Nef des Jouets in Soultz and "let's hear the stories"...
