Birgit Brandys shows 40 large-format portraits in acrylic. Born in Überlingen, the artist lives and works in Stockach. As a trained technical product designer, Birgit Brandys found her passion for painting as a child. Since 2012, she has attended various art academies throughout Germany to further develop her style. In 2022 she completed a course of study with Felix Eckhardt.
The basis of her work is the world of people and animals, in this area she finds access to her pictorial themes.
Her works incorporate the knowledge she has acquired from acrylic painting, inspiration, life experience and thus Birgit Brandy's innermost being. The process of finding a motif for a picture begins with an inner confrontation. It can take weeks for a thought to take shape and form before her inner eye. This is the beginning process of creativity. Creativity is the top priority at every stage in the creation of one of her new works.

Ihr Vorhaben ist Gegenständliches in Abstraktes umzuformen und der realen Welt eine individuell aus ihrer Persönlichkeit herauswachsende Verfremdung zu verleihen.
