On the occasion of this year's anniversary "225 years of organ building in Waldkirch", the Elztal Museum is exhibiting around 90 works from six decades of work by the internationally active artist Otmar Alt, who is well known in the town of Waldkirch. He is the designer of the "Altobella Furiosa" concert organ, whose colorful pipes in the entrance area of the Elztal Museum play hits and classics by the Beatles, Abba and many more. The Altobella Furiosa was a joint project between the four Waldkirch organ building workshops and the artist Otmar Alt (built in 1999).
One focus of the exhibition is Otmar Alt's 2017 series "Schwarzwaldliebe" (Black Forest Love). Here, he explores places and traditions from the region in and around the Black Forest.
In addition to art and culture enthusiasts, the exhibition is also aimed at a young audience and families with numerous hands-on stations. Young and old alike can print, do puzzles, build and paint in the exhibition - all in the style of Otmar Alt.
The exhibition will not be on display from 21.10.2024 - 22.11.2024.
