The work of Bodo Korsig (*1962) does not fit into any conventional categories and moves unmistakably between spatial installations, sculptures, interactive video works and book art.
Born in Zwickau, his career took him all over the world after training in Berlin. After an extensive creative phase in New York, he returned to Germany, where his works are now shown internationally at trade fairs and exhibitions. For example, his large-format deep black cut-outs with their organic structures create a suggestive effect that transforms rooms into artistic parallel worlds. Among other things, the artist uses them to create impressive artistic metaphors.
Bodo Korsig is presenting a selection of works from the last five years at Museum Art.Plus: Felt works, steel cut outs and drawings.
