On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Friederike Mayröcker's birth, the tour revisits the Austrian writer's artistic collaboration with German artist Andreas Grunert, which began in 1993 and continues beyond the author's death in 2021.
Some twenty works created by Andreas Grunert between 2002 and 2006 will be on display, alongside the texts by Friederike Mayröcker that inspired him.
While each of the two artists has developed his own style in two different genres, their works express a particular relationship with culture and the form it has taken in the contemporary world, a relationship made up of interaction but also of critical distance, of reflections on memory in eminently poetic universes.
