This year's special exhibition is divided into two thematic areas for the first time. In addition to a broad exhibition on the use of the MB-trac and Unimog in forestry, including their attachments, the museum is also dedicated to the "Heavy Series Unimog" (SBU). In 2025, the SBU celebrates its 50th anniversary. The distinctive short-hood cab with seating for up to three people, which is still used today, is a particularly distinctive feature. The 435 series, which is considered the most successful "heavy-duty series" with 30,726 units built, was particularly influenced by the globetrotter scene and is still considered the favorite Unimog for hobby conversion enthusiasts today. The U 1300 L was also supplied to the German armed forces and fire departments, primarily as a special vehicle. In the Unimog Museum, it is used as a vehicle for driver training.
