Traditional jugs and teapots inspire her. Teapots and tea bowls are part of her permanent repertoire. With her shaping hands, gesturally applied glaze and painting and the wood fire, she gives each vessel its unmistakable character. She follows her intuition, gives free rein to her emotions and yet has so much experience that she knows exactly what she is doing. Isabelle Pammachius (*1970) has been working with Hervé Rousseau at the Atelier Boisbelle not far from La Borne since 1999. In the Noborigama (= Japanese multi-chamber wood-fired kiln), she makes use of the possibilities offered by the ash approach.
