History and tradition
The place where history becomes alive...
This diverse collection presents exhibits ranging from archaeology and finds from the Fricktal region to medieval handcrafts and former professions and workplaces. The city models and water colour paintings by the arts teacher Gustav Kalenbach-Schröter are visual aids providing information about the history of Rheinfelden.

The exposition ‚Die Pest und die Sebastiani-Bruderschaft' shows great traditions from the middle ages which are still celebrated today.

Können Glocken fliegen... – the show presents interesting and special views to the collection of sacred objects.

'In Sale Salus - Herrmann Keller und die Kurstadt Rheinfelden' shows the rise and fall of Rheinfelden as a world famous spa town in the 19. and 20. century.
