In 1990, the city of Calw dedicated a richly decorated museum designed by Volker Michels and designed by Heiko Rogge to its great son Hermann Hesse. The largest permanent exhibition on the poet in Europe awaits visitors in the Black Forest city. In a historic building with a view of the market square and the birthplace, the Hermann Hesse Museum Calw shows in ten rooms the life, work and impact history of the most popular and most widely read German-language writer of the 20th century.
