Located in Montaigu Park, the Iron History Museum invites its visitors to relive the region’s steelmaking history, discover the world of the famous designer Jean Prouvé and learn about how iron has been used through the ages.
The Iron History Museum has gained the “Twentieth-Century Heritage” label, and its original architecture features a huge structure made up of steel porticos spanned by glass panels. Besides temporary exhibitions focusing on scientic and social themes, it also oers a rich and diversified programme aimed at a variety of audiences: activities for children, special “moved evenings” and family events which everyone is welcome to attend.
