The curator of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Helga Christoffersen, talks to Danish artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen about his artistic practice and his digital installation “Boreal Dreams”, which was commissioned by the Fondation Beyeler and premieres alongside the exhibition “Northern Lights”. With “Boreal Dreams”, the artist explores the impact of the climate crisis on the ecosystem of the boreal zone by creating virtual landscapes based on scientific data collection and gaming technology.
The talk will be held in English. The exhibitions can be viewed prior to the event.
