As part of the exhibition, De l'Alsace au monde : voyage dans les Archives de la Planète d'Albert Kahn, the Bnu is screening Robin Hunzinger's film (52 min, 2011).
The screening will take place in the presence of the director, in partnership with Le Lieu documentaire.
An emblematic figure of the early 20th century, Albert Kahn remains an unknown figure, somewhat forgotten by history. Who remembers this son of a cattle merchant, turned billionaire banker, who devoted his fortune to financing photographic and cinematographic expeditions around the world? Who was this idealist, lover of gardens and philosophy, who could have been the king of Paris, but preferred to live apart, in a vast mansion at the back of a park? This film, constructed as an investigation, sets out to find out.
Projection | Auditorium | Free of charge | Reservations from 7/09/2024
