Come and discover the facades of the library, listed as a "historic monument", with a guide. Plunge into the past and discover the historic stores as they were in 1895 when the Bnu was inaugurated. Take a stroll (Sundays only) through the reading rooms, completely refurbished in 2014. As every year, some visitors will be able to discover the photo workshop and the restoration workshop with the technicians who work there on a daily basis. In the visitable reserves, you can admire two Musée du Louvre deposits: one on the archaeology of western Iran, the other on Fustat ceramics, Islamic art in Egypt. And let's not forget the "10 years of heritage treasures" tour and the De l'Alsace au monde exhibition, devoted to the Albert Kahn collections. The latter will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days.
Same-day registration for guided tours
Finally, for the first time at the Bnu, a "typography workshop", run by Espace Européen Gutenberg, will be on offer for young and old alike, on Saturday afternoon.
