With Prof. Dr. Hubert Wiggering and the sound artist Kurt Holzkämper:

Bogs are not actually audible. But the interdisciplinary MONAS Collective led by sound artist Kurt Holzkämper and scientist Prof. Dr. Hubert Wiggering transforms the mystical moors into living protagonists.

Using innovative microphones and sensors, natural sounds and data from plants and greenhouse gases are made audible. These sounds, combined with video and light installations, create a unique audiovisual landscape that makes it possible to experience moors in a completely new way.

The focus is on climate protection: how can we restore drained moors to reduce greenhouse gases and allow moors to grow again? The event surrounding our current special exhibition "Zukunft Moor!" shows why the preservation of these unique ecosystems is so important for the future.

Experience the fascinating combination of science and art with the MONAS Collective's "Listen to the moors!" project. Be inspired by an art installation and the discourse that brings moors to life as indispensable climate protectors!
