Historian Johann Chapoutot, co-author of the highly acclaimed "Le monde nazi 1919-1945" (The Nazi World 1919-1945), published in 2024, looks back at this pivotal period to decipher the role of German veterans of the Great War in the National Socialist Party and the rise of Nazism.
