Five artists - Chris Popovic, Eva Rosenstiel, Susanne Allgaier, Susi Hinz and Karin Langendorf - deal with textiles as a material in very individual ways: painted fabrics, mattresses with the familiar pattern, fabrics in a confusing arrangement, painted in a photorealistic style, stones sewn into fabrics, fabrics dissolved into threads, shaped into new forms, new forms created from garments, transformed from fashion design into works of art, new forms found from the old technique of lace-making with new materials. The youngest of the artists - Susi Hinz - has gradually moved away from fabric and works with "plastics".
