The exhibition Vonna-Michell's House by Tris Vonna-Michell (*1982) shows newly produced, existing or reconfigured works from two decades of artistic practice. Vonna-Michell works with analog and digital technologies and the possibilities of multimedia installation, including performance, sound poetry, printed matter, sculpture, photography and film. For the first time in a public institution, the exhibition incorporates the photographic and publishing projects from the late 1960s onwards of Tris' father Ed Vonna-Michell (1950-2020), which will be interwoven with Tris' current investigations.
Specifically, Vonna-Michell's House consists of several interconnected rooms that present Ed Vonna-Michell's work in the context of Tris Vonna-Michell's archive and his signature installations. The result is a narrative that incorporates cross-generational aspects of sound poetry, artistic publishing and counter-cultural moments.
