The Baggage Museum houses the exceptional collection of Marie and Jean-Philippe Rolland in the former Banque de France building.

Since April 2016, the Haguenau Luggage Museum, located at 5 rue Saint-Georges, has been enriching Alsace's cultural heritage.

The objects presented are largely from the remarkable collection built by Jean-Philippe and Marie Rolland. The Haguenovian spouses assembled and restored, with patience and passion, 600 trunks, suitcases and luggage of various origins and styles, dating from the 18th century to the 1960s. These objects make it possible to illustrate the evolution of the means of transport (journeys by stagecoach, train, liner, plane). Some pieces are unique, particularly those signed by luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Goyard, or Moynat.

The collection, entrusted free of charge by the Rolland couple to the City of Haguenau, was already used as a support for a temporary exhibition as part of Haguenau's 900th anniversary celebrations.

As an extension of this temporary exhibition, the City of Haguenau is in charge of the permanent management of the collection, with the aim of perpetuating and popularizing this unique collection in Europe. A cycle of three exhibitions is scheduled until 2021.
