The museum in the castle offers an overview of the history of Gochsheim and the city of Kraichtal, the Counts of Eberstein and the nobility of Kraichgau. Two important exhibitions mark the highlights of the museum:

The Karl Hubbuch Foundation with around 100 works by the artist (1891-1979) whose parents' home was in Kraichtal-Neuenbürg. Visitors can also discover pictures of the historical open-air Neuenbürg theatre event, scenes from everyday village life in Neuenbürg and Kraichgau, portraits of the Hubbuch family as well as pictures from France. In addition, the museum hosts the world's largest collection of irons. More than 1,300 irons from all epochs and from all over the world were collected by the Karlsruhe-based lawyer Heinrich Sommer.

A popular permanent exhibition is dedicated to a selection of pans and irons that were heated with coal, bolts or spirit. In spring 2008 an exhibition of brickworks by the former brickyard Bott in Gochsheim was opened in the castle, displaying old pictures and bricks. The key item is the company's ancient brick press. Fully equipped workshops of a cooper, spirit distiller and smith complement the museum. Please call beforehand to make an appointment for this exhibition.
