The SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen presents the Collection of international contemporary art of Peter Schaufler (†) and Christiane Schaufler-Münch. For nearly three decades, Peter Schaufler, Senator h. c., a businessman from Sindelfingen, and his wife, Christiane Schaufler-Münch, have been assembling one of the most impressive private art collections (~3000 works of art) in Germany.
The art of the ZERO movement and its pioneers, such as Lucio Fontana and Arman, were among the first acquisitions of these collectors. Other focuses include minimalist, conceptual, and concrete art. Historical positions such as those of Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, and Hanne Darboven are represented along with artists who continue these developments up to the present.
