Annual report 2023

Dear members!

The year 2023 has put us back on the growth path with over 44,700 Museums-PASS-Musées sold. The success of our webinars continues and we will continue this initiative to promote the exhibitions of our member museums.

The figures for 2023:

  1. 44,778 Museums-PASS-Musées were sold, an increase of 2.4%
  2. Sales revenue amounted to €5,519,162, €433,959 more than in 2022 due to the increase in Museums-PASS-Musées sales and price increases
  3. The cumulative repayment to the member museums increased by €277,501 to €3,995,866 compared to 2022. This increase is due to the rise in admissions with Museums-PASS-Musées to 377,485, which corresponds to an increase of 16.9%.

As in previous years, member museums were granted two different reimbursement rates based on the theoretical loss of revenue from admissions with the Museums-PASS-Musées, namely 60% and 75%, as set out in the association's regulations. Both rates have increased by 3% compared to 2022 (apart from the one-off special compensation of 7% for 2020 and 2021) and are at their best levels ever. We strive to increase the reimbursement every year and launch new projects for the benefit of our member museums and pass holders.

The year 2023 brought a number of innovations with the launch of the M-APP (smartphone app), preparations for the 25th anniversary and the new logo and visual identity of the Museums-PASS-Musées. The year 2024 will be dedicated to celebrations and actions to promote our member sites and the Museums-PASS-Musées to new audiences, with an unprecedented financial and human investment from my entire team. I would like to thank you all, the board and the commission, for your support and commitment.
