Malraux before Christ

André Malraux
This event is available in

Conference - meeting with François de Saint-Cheron, lecturer at the Sorbonne Faculty of Letters.
André Malraux was an avowed agnostic. And yet, the author of La Condition humaine had a singular closeness to the mystery of the Gospel. An incomparable exegete of sacred art, Malraux was fascinated by Christ, Saint John the Evangelist and Saint Francis of Assisi. François de Saint-Cheron will present Malraux's attitude to Christ and Christianity, rereading his work and correspondence, and evoking some of his friendships with great Catholic figures such as François Mauriac, Georges Bernanos and Father Pierre Bockel.
