In 2022, the Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire (Bnu) acquired the archives of type designer and illustrator Jean Alessandrini.
An exhibition, from January 27 to March 23, 2025, will explore this exceptional typographic work and its inseparable graphic counterpart, including a selection of word-images. Visitors will be able to discover the creations of this multi-talented artist, from sketches to final works, illustrating a manual creative process that predates the digital age.
The presentation of this work, combining graphic design and typography, will be accompanied by a catalog and cultural programming. In collaboration with Espace européen Gutenberg and as part of Strasbourg, World Book Capital.
