Experience the magic of photography! The guided tour takes you on a journey through the current special exhibition at the Museum Purrmann-Haus in Speyer. Discover the illustrious social, artistic and family network of the painter couple Hans Purrmann and Mathilde Vollmoeller-Purrmann, who fell in love in Paris as pupils of Henri Matisse and were part of the European avant-garde throughout their lives. Iconic photographs taken by important press photographers at the beginning of the 20th century bring the past to life and tell stories from the world of fine art, literature, theater and film.
