To celebrate the 350th birthday of Margravine Augusta Sibylla in January 2025, Rastatt children's book author Hans Peter Faller tells two of his Favorite Palace stories from his "Ludwig the City Mouse Stories". He takes his little listeners back to the construction of Favorite Palace in the summer of 1713. At that time, the margravine had called on the children of Rastatt to collect stones from the Murg river for the pebble plastering of the new pleasure palace in Rastatt-Förch. The story "Ludwig the town mouse and lazy Bruno" shows how the children complied with the margravine's request and what they experienced in the process. The second story tells of Matteo the kestrel and his friend Philipp, who experience a special adventure in the park of Favorite Palace surrounding Margravine Augusta Sibylla's first summer festival. "Forgetfulness or theft" was the question asked by all the castle servants about a number of missing objects. How can their disappearance be explained?
With craft activity afterwards.
For children aged 8 and over, duration (with activity) approx. 120 minutes.
