Fix it! The happiness of repairing

Sonderausstellung Fix it! Museum.BL
This exhibition is available in
German
The exhibition at Museum.BL, where you can immerse yourself in the cultural history of repairing and learn how to give objects a second life - happiness guaranteed.

Why do we experience moments of happiness when we repair things? What happens to us when we immerse ourselves in the nature of an object with a screwdriver, saw or soldering iron and make it work again?
The "Fix it!" exhibition gives you space to tinker, glue, wire, screw and sew. You can try out repair techniques and tools and familiarize yourself with objects, textures and materials. Test repair skills that you may not yet know or that you would like to improve. "Fix it!" is both an exhibition and a repair school. In the afternoons, professionals will be on hand to give you tips as you tackle the repair jobs and get a chair standing again or a lamp shining.
