The former house of the influential Palatinate painter Heinrich Strieffler (1872-1949) and his daughter Marie (1919-1987) was inherited by the city ofLandau. The Art Nouveau / Art Deco house has been left as it was at the time of its last resident and serves therefore as a fine example of bourgeois domestic culture. Particularly interesting is the large studio on the attic floor. One floor is dedicated to two or three special exhibitions per year. Museum and galllery are under the care of the circle of the friends and promoters (Strieffler Haus der Künste e.V.) who work honorary.
